Woohoo! I’ve been banned!
Kasia September 19th, 2007
After some lobbying, I have managed to get myself banned by the “Spirit of Vatican II ‘Catholic’ Community” blog. Hence I proudly display this unfortunately felt-y looking banner:

Next project: to get banned in China. Right after I figure out how to display the banner more permanently than in a post. (Canuck? Siekierski? Anyone? ;-))
If you want to display something like this banner, you can create a “home” page for your blog. In your Dashboard, go to Options, Reading Options, and try it out.
I just tested your site at the
Great Firewall of China test website and congeratulations your website cam eback blocked.
Here is the link to the test page
If that doesn’t work try this one and click on the “test” button.
Great Firewall of China
I tested your blog URL at the
Great FireWall of China website and it came back
Blocked
Congratulations
Don’t trust that Great FireWall of China site. I discovered, when I was in Beijing, that most of the sites this site blacklisted were actually completely public.
Well, that sucks. How does one find out if one really is pissing off the Chinese enough to censor one’s ‘blog?
Yeah, how? Do I have to wait for the next time someone I know goes to Beijing?
I mean, China really DOES censor the Web, right? That isn’t some spin story invented by Washington so we can eventually go in and knock out the Commies there? (You know that conspiracy theory about building an oil pipeline from Iraq/the Caspian basin through Afghanistan and China…)
BTW, Kasia, if you don’t like the felty looking banner I;ve designed a Banned by SOV2 “tapestry” you are free to use.
