But I HAVE seen many Russian Orthodox icons of the Nativity, and they do feature an old, white-bearded figure, leaning on a cane, who stands near St. Joseph and whispers doubts to him. Yes, it’s true (sort of). I don’t actually know if the Orthodox even HAVE Nativity sets.
