Oh that's right, I forgot that clothing designers seem to like not making warm clothing for women. Because of course I feel so pretty when I'm getting frost bite. :)

Actually, I was thinking the problem was that you were shopping in the winter. Right now, stores are getting ready for Spring and Summer (brides as well as regular folks). Anyone would be hard pressed to find a significant amount of winter clothing, period. Winter clothes come out in the summer. I urge patience. I know you think **nobody** sells these things - I've had to buy formal dresses for military balls, so I do feel your pain, somewhat, but I think they really **do**. You're just shopping at the wrong time.

That one you posted looks pretty nice. I think Karen was just going to wear a shrug, so she wouldn't be all nekkid in front of the Lord. It is a difficult thing. I think mine had little cap sleeves. It was very "Capulet."

It's a good idea in theory, Julia, but the thing is that a lot of bridal dress manufacturers just plain don't make "winter dresses" as you and I are thinking of them. I've been in a couple of shops, and I've looked at a ton of sites online. It's not a question of those sleeved dresses being too expensive - it's that in most of the retail bridal world, they just plain don't exist, and you have to pay to have a more revealing dress converted into a sleeved option.

Thanks for the suggestion, though - there's always a chance for a miracle! :-)

You're getting married in winter right? So you might want to check out some Bridal shops in the next month as they might start putting the winter dresses on sale. Those should be more modest as winter is, you know, cold. Anyone wearing a strapless or sleeveless dress in winter is nuts. Believe me, I did it. At least I wore a good coat.

Kasia:

Check out the bottom link. I am not suggesting that you order from this place but maybe you can see something you might like and try to find something similar in the shoppes.
