- Some people have asked me how my blog got its name. The answer is that my sister was reading an Agatha Christie novel, in which the narrator said that his sister had a gift for ferreting out information; he said that if his sister had a crest, it would be a mongoose rampant. My sister thought that was hilarious, read it aloud to me, and then said that if I had a crest, it would be a clam rampant. (She thinks I'm overly secretive. I think she's overly nosy. You decide who's right.)
